Watonga Trout Derby
March 6-8, 2009
For nearly 30 years Roman Nose State Park and Lake
Watonga have hosted the Watonga Trout Derby and every year it
gets bigger and better. This year was once again a fun
event for anglers of all ages who travelled from all over the
state of Oklahoma and even surrounding states. Roman Nose
State Park is a beautiful park to be at for any reason, but
throw in some relaxing fishing, the opportunity to spend time
with family or friends and the chance to win some of the $1,000
cash and other great prizes that were given away and how could
anyone go wrong? This year, for the first time, we also
gave away a Bass Brat fishing boat!
