Economic Development

The Watonga Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee is an organization of local business people and involved community members whose goal it is to retain and attract employment and investments in our local economy consistent with community economic development priorities. Its purpose is to facilitate primary business expansion and retention in the Watonga area resulting in a stronger, more diversified economy that will increase the economic vitality and wealth of Watonga and Blaine County.

Retail Sales and Service Enhancement Program Our most recent project has been the "Retail Sales and Service Enhancement Program."  Working in conjunction with the City of Watonga, Watonga Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee has developed this plan to offer an opportunity for new and existing retail businesses to be rewarded for increased sales as a result of
permanent improvements made to their businesses.  Watonga City Council passed this resolution on May 3, 2011, setting the program into effect.  To view the program documents click here.  To view the application packet, click here.  For more information, please contact the Watonga Chamber of Commerce at 580-623-5452.
