Watonga Chamber of Commerce
worked with the OSU Extension
Service, the Blaine County
Conservation District, the
Central North Canadian River
Conservation District, the
Cimmaron Valley Conservation
District, the Okeene Chamber of
Commerce, the Geary Chamber of
Commerce and the Canton Chamber
of Commerce to sponsor the
Blaine County Ag Banquet where
four farm familes were
recognized as farmer/rancher of
the year and five farm families
honored as Blaine County Ag Hall
of Fame.
Watonga Chamber was in charge of
decorations. They chose
the theme 'Agriculture - Working
in all Seasons".
One-fourth of the tables were
decorated with spring-type items
such as bird houses and new
plants, some tables was
decorated with snowmen and
snowflakes, more tables was
decorated with red/white/blue
indicating summer time
activities and other tables was
decorated with fall flowers.
The message in the decorating
was that farmers must work no
matter what the weather.

among the tables.
